Ultrasound Physiotherapy is given by sound waves to reduce pain inflammation in joints and muscles. usually given both in acute and chronic cases so that pain and swelling, tenderness is reduced, and we can start with mobility of joints usually use to treat a local area of pain.
Physiotherapists at Physioforyou use therapeutic ultrasound, mostly to aid repair of soft tissue sporting injuries, for longer than diagnostic ultrasound has been used. We are now branching into diagnostic ultrasound particularly as a means of providing biofeedback to both the therapist and the patient particularly for rehabilitation and the feedback of a task being mastered by the patient.
